In March 2015, Alongside was formed in response to overwhelming feedback following an ABC radio interview. With co-founders Sarah Yates and Paige Hobbs at the helm, Alongside addresses the vast unmet need for support services for partners and families of those serving on the frontline and those living with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) as a result of mental injury sustained in the line of duty.

Alongside is a not for profit organisation providing proactive education, support, PTSD services and a strong community for partners and families

of Defence and Emergency Services personnel from recruitment through to discharge and beyond.

Approximately 103 000 Defence and 400 000 Emergency Services personnel serve on Australia’s frontline, a significant number of partners and families stand beside them. Alongside operates nation-wide, ensuring wherever you may be posted, Alongside is there.
